HCO has short-term accommodation located in a quiet residential area within walking distance to local shops and not far from the Mount Barker township centre, it is also within walking distance to several sporting grounds and the district hospital.

Mount Barker is an easy half hour drive to the City of Adelaide famous for Arts Festivals, Museums, the Adelaide Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. Transport to these sites and more is available.

Other options within an hour’s drive include the Monarto Zoo, River Murray, Fleurieu Peninsula and Mallee areas for country, riverside and beach activities.

People with a disability who live with their families can enjoy this short-term accommodation, designed specifically with them in mind.

Guests can stay overnight, or for longer periods, based on your family’s individual needs, to experience life in a relaxed home away from home environment.

It is the ideal environment for a short holiday-like stay or as a first step towards moving into independent accommodation.

The accommodation offers individual bedrooms and shared bathroom.

There are plenty of indoor and outdoor activities provided to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay, while our Staff can also support the guests to help build daily life skills.

We will work with you to tailor a program that specifically aligns with your needs and focuses on skill development, relationship development and community access.
