About the DSW position:
HCO requires the services of experienced Level 2 Disability Support Workers to support our growing number of Clients within our Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu locations and who are:
- experienced in working with people with dual disabilities and challenging behaviours
- experienced in working with people with Acquired Brain Injury
- reliable, flexible and responsive to the needs of the Client
- available to work up to 25-30 hrs a week with flexible shifts over a seven-day period which will include weekdays, weekends, overnight passive and active night shifts
- Strong knowledge of the Adelaide Hills/Fleurieu area and able to work short shifts, split shifts and/or at short notice where required.
The successful DSW applicant requires a:
- qualification at Certificate level 3 or higher in Disability or Community Services
- minimum of twelve months experience working in the Disability or Human Services sector, specifically with dual disability, challenging behaviours and Acquired Brain Injury
- current Senior First Aid/CPR Certificate
- current valid driver’s licence.
- current RDNS Health Support Training certificate
- current Manual Handling certificate with use of lifters included
- completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- current DHS Child Related Employment Screening and NDIS Worker Screening
- commitment to a person-centred approach and engagement in active support.
